The top 5 concerts to add to your 2024 bucket list

The winter solstice has passed, which means we’re inching closer to the warm embrace of summer. Soon enough, the air will be filled with the smell of barbeques, and you’ll be squelching through muddy festivals chanting along to the Seven Nation Army riff. But that doesn’t mean we have to wait until summer for great music.

2024 is already looking to be a big year for live music and here’s some of the concerts we’re most excited about:

1) Depeche Mode

The legendary Depeche Mode duo, Martin Gore and David Gahan, announced additional dates to their Memento Mori world tour, following sold-out stadium and arena shows across Europe, Mexico, Canada, and the US. These new European tour dates begin on 22nd January at London’s O2 Arena and finish on 5th April in Cologne, Germany.

2) Holly Humberstone

Following the release of her debut album earlier this year, Holly Humberstone, will be touring in 2024. The singer first appeared at Glastonbury in 2019 on the BBC Music Introducing Stage and has since released several singles and opened for Olivia Rodrigo in 2022. If you’re a Lorde or Phoebe Bridgers fan, you’ll probably be a fan of Humberstone, too. Holly will be touring the UK in March, so don’t miss out.

3) Slipknot

With their seventh album, The End, So Far, Slipknot are back and promise the usual energy and chaos that has become synonymous with their live shows. The band has received numerous awards, including a Grammy and 12 Platinum album certifications worldwide, with over 12.1 million monthly listeners on Spotify. Touring the UK next December, this is an essential trip for metal fans and “maggots”.

4) Bruce Springsteen and the E-Street Band

Why not welcome Summer in with Bruce Springsteen’s May tour dates? Long recognised as an incomparable live performer, Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band are known for high-energy live performances featuring Springsteen’s signature blend of rock, folk, and blues music. According to Pollstar magazine, Springsteen is one of just four artists who have sold more than 20 million tickets since 1980 – don’t you want to be part of those numbers!?

5) The Killers

Celebrating 20 years since the release of their debut album, Hot Fuss, The Killers are taking over UK stages as part of their Rebel Diamonds Tour. The tour celebrates the release of an album of the same name, featuring a compilation of their greatest hits. We assure you, bagging these tickets will make you ‘Smile Like You Mean It’.
