The O2 City Hall Newcastle opened in 1927 as part of a development alongside the city baths. It was threatened with closure in 2012 but was thankfully saved by the Theatre Royal Trust in 2016 who then sold the venue to the Academy Music Trust in 2019. It is a great venue for bands, comedians and other artists.
